Sample Goals

I am applying for school next month and one of the admission requirements is to have a personal essay explaining why I am interested in their program, what I hope to gain from it and career goals. I know it seems easy to most, but I am stuck. I need a template…..

I know and have developed my career goals. But, I am stuck on my personal goals.. What do they mean exactly? Do they want to know if im going to get married? or do they want to know where do i see myself in 30 years?

I am applying for two college write now that wants me to write an essay. I have no idea how to approach these 2 essays in a way that will impress the colleges.

One essay says to: Describe short and long term goals and why I want to study for a bachelors degree.

The other is: A personal objectives and interest essay. I have to describe my reasons for applying to the college, why i chose my field of study, and how this education will affect my future plans.

What do you think of when you hear “education” and “career goals”? I think of my future. I have years of school to complete and a career to be successful in after that.
My main goal is to become an architect. Architecture has always been an extreme passion of mine; ever since I was little I would admire the designs of buildings and dream that one day I would be able to design something like that. The only other thing that I’m interested in is math but that ties right into architecture. Right now, I’m still in high school so, finishing that is my first education goal. Next, is going to Texas Tech University and participating in the dual Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration program. After I finish the five years there, I want to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa and receive the Doctor of Architecture Degree, hopefully by the time I’m 26 years of age.
When I graduate I want to be a successful architect and work with other people and build my name. Afterwards, I would like to start my own business and make it just as successful as anyone else’s, if not better. I set high standards for myself because I want to be the best. I want to be known and be high up in life.
My educational and career goals are exactly how I want them to be. They are perfect with what I want to do. Everything from finishing school to being successful in an architecture career is what my goals consist of. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
